Schock just completed another complete 501D Exhaust System. We have been working with the Power Plant for several years, and like many, they had significant budget restrictions. We began helping with some emergency internal liner repairs, but unfortunately the installed system was just too old to cost effectively reduce the required maintenance going forward. In addition, it was an abandoned boiler with the tubes removed, so the air path was much larger than required.
We began by working directly with the Plant Engineers to develop a stack that interfaced to the GT, and existing foundation with little to no modifications. The stack elbow was delivered in (2) very large pieces in an effort to reduce site installation time. We were able to design staying within the current air permit, and bring back to commercial operation in less than 2 weeks.
Schock offers turn-key Systems, or in some cases we will have a Schock Expert TFA be onsite to assist in the installation to ensure the integrity of the system is upheld.
